Urgent Needs :

linens (for twin beds) & bath towels

paper plates & cups

bottled water
Because many of the homeless spend their days in the sun, they often suffer from dehydration. Water is asked for more often and appreciated more than anything else we offer.

hygiene & cleaning supplies
Since Katrina, New Orleans struggles with trash, mold, rat infestation and other issues that make maintaining personal hygiene a necessity. The mission is continually cleaning and disinfecting the floors, walls and furniture.

new Bibles
Because all of our books and Bibles were destroyed by Katrina, we can only give the few Bibles that are occasionally donated. Most are old and torn, and many of our guests need large print. A hot meal satisfies for a couple of hours, but the Word of God can
satisfy for eternity.

new underwear, t-shirts and socks
Although most homeless people are too embarrassed to ask for under garments, it is their greatest clothing need. Clean, dry socks are the best defense against numerous foot diseases. The mission typically receives about 1,200 pairs of underwear a year, but has a need for at least 12,000.
